Facebook, that omnipresent behemoth of social networking, has a very hard and fast rule against pornography. The problem though, is that the rule is applied consistently to pictures of women breastfeeding and inconsistently to photos of young women showing more breast than a butcher shop.
Every picture that a friend of mine has put up has been taken down with a warning against "indecency" with some being threatened with a ban. Indeed, some women have been banned for continuing to post pictures of their children being fed.
I blame Mark Zuckerberg being an immature, insecure geek who has grown into a misogynist with too much money and power.
I don't have a point, just wanted to rant a little.

I'm deeply suspicious of anyone who doesn't love boobs, while I choose to keep mine under a complicated system of rigging and tarp for safety reasons, I think it's disgraceful that we still have to have this conversation when it comes to feeding a child.
I don't know why I get so angry about it though because I don't have any anklebiters (or in this case nipplenibblers) myself. But I do get my righteous indignation on big style when it comes to this issue.

The absurdity of such prudery is immense. Even the Vatican approves (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1028888/Vatican-plea-uncover-Virgin-Mary-breast-feeding-baby-Jesus.html) of Mary and Jesus being depicted like in this Joovs van Cleve 1525 painting:

Until the Calvinists and other protestant religious denominations became influential, such depictions were commonplace, and nobody considered them sexual, let alone immoral or sinful.

True, but you have to be some kind of twisted freak to see something pornographic or indecent in breastfeeding. Remember that it is Zuckerberg who made the policy and his staff that remove the pictures.

Before you do, browse around for others first. There are thousands of them. Look at this stylish one for instance. It was painted by Jean Fouquet (have fun with that name) in 1450.

I am very pro-breast, if they're large, symmetical, and well-formed. I would encourage more nice breasts on Facebook, here, cupped in my hands right now, smothering my face, and massaging my penis. I don't want to see ugly breasts. Facebook should definitely censor those so I can spend more time looking at nice ones.
As far as breastfeeding is concerned, I'm against it unless I'm the one doing it, preferably while the bitch gives me a handjob. If you have some meuling poo-poo factory infant sucking on your big jugs that means I'm not. I don't like to share. Moreover, a lot of kids damage nice tits by biting them and making them sore. That leaves me with even less quality boob time and deprives me of the pleasure of damaging them myself, usually just before I dump the bitch.

I readily admit I have zero sense of humour about this subject, I think I may have indicated as much earlier.I've been wrong about stuff before and I'll be wrong about stuff again, but at this time I firmly believe there is a grain of truth behind most of the jokes about tits being for display purposes only, at best it creates a level of discomfort for women who want to nurse that is tremendously unfair and at times cruel, and at worst it is a patriarchal sense of entitlement over a women's body that has more in common with enforced Islamic dress codes than it does with the ideals of a free society.

I appreciate your sensitivity, though it's somewhat perplexing that you joined a forum started by a guy named "Cunt" whose logo is written in virtual splooge. But there are absolutely no hard feelings whatsoever and I like your otherwise thoughtful posts
My sense of humor isn't everyone's cup of tea and I don't have just one - I like potty humor, dry subtle humor, puns, surreal humor, slapstick, one-liners, sick humor, and every other kind. I often offend people, though it is rarely intentional. But if you doubt it in the future or wonder if I believe what I say about tits or the joys of slaughtering Jews and puppies, etc., just ask me. I'll always tell you the truth. I think that's a good policy to follow with anybody in a forum. Ask them if they're kidding instead of jumping to conclusions that they are a troll. You might just find out it was no big deal before things get out of hand.
A very nice and considerate forum member deeply concerned about the feelings of others would probably apologize to you even for inadvertantly offending you. I'm not that type of poster. I really write shit to entertain myself first and hope others will enjoy it and jump in and play too. If they do great, if not, tough shit. I'm fearless and occassionally fuck up. But if nobody enjoys it, I won't stick around. So don't worry.
My real views on breastfeeding? I'm all for it and can't think of any restrictions I'd put on it or it's publicization. My wife breastfed. If I had breasts I'd breastfeed. No, that's not true. If I had a nice set of boobs I never would have gotten married or had kids. I'd just play with myself all the time, assuming they were really nice tits.
As to your concerns about objectifying breasts and perhaps, by extension, women's bodies... Yes, I do. Often. I'm a normal male. But I couldn't have been happily married for almost 32 years to a wonderful intelligent woman if that's all I did.

I don't generally have an issue with people commenting on other peoples body parts, but this one issue where people (men and women) can't deal with their own taboos and think that this gives them right to dictate other peoples behavior. irritates to the point where I stop being polite. Objectifying is one thing a sense of entitlement is something else. If you think of it it's kind of funny in a way, you think I'm a prude because I think people should be allowed get their tits out in public.

If you think of it it's kind of funny in a way, you think I'm a prude because I think people should be allowed get their tits out in public.
No, not at all, at least if you don't mind me masturbating while I watch them do it.

This kind of try hard humour brash satire to compensate for cultural puritanism isn't necessary where some of us come from. :dunno:

I have never taken part in one of these discussions where someone hasn't compared breastfeeding to either public urination or masturbation, I really don't get it.

FU wasn't making such a comparison. He lives in a nation renowned for its level of puritanism and prudery not exceeded by any other in the "first world", and wants to make a big deal of demonstrating that he is neither by making rather boorish remarks from time to time. I suppose they may be regarded as rebellious/shocking/funny in his country. I find them lame and, given enough posts of that kind, tedious.

You don't think that if someone says if you can do such and such I can do such and such it's a comparing the two actions?

If I am not mistaken, calling breastfeeding 'obscene' might be addressed by calling it what it is - discrimination against women/mothers.

There's actually been a protest amongst bloggers who are mothers who use facebook to post as many BFing pictures as possible-- I think there's even a day they've set aside for blanketing with baby boob.
I can't BF, and I am four-square against having a FB account, so I haven't been participating, which is why I'm hazy on the details. But I think what they're doing is great.

Have you heard about the American woman who was dressed down by a judge for breastfeeding her child in the back of the courtroom?

I don't mind combining babies, breasts and sex all in one lovely feast for the eyes and mind. It makes sense to me. And no, I don't want to have sex with babies. I'd rather eat them. :)
I was snuggling with my baby on the couch a while back, and for some reason I pictured someone calling and asking what I was up to. "Oh, just making out with my baby."
I thought it was funny, and... kinda apt. But I figured people'd take it the wrong way.
