Avatar directionality page 1

Fuzzy 17th January 2012, 04:48 AM I generally choose my avatars so that whatever is in them is facing towards the text. That way it looks like my avatar is doing the talking! If I find something I like a lot but which is looking the wrong way, I download it and flip the image to make it work. Does anybody else have this as a consideration when selecting avatars? Sometimes I like for the avatar to look straight ahead, directly at the reader. Way back when I had a series of avatars that were stills from an old black and white movie. Each image was of the same persion, but facing different directions and with different facial expressions. I didn't notice what I was doing at first, but the order in which I changed the avatar caused her to spin completely around, with her expression going from calm to frenzied. M
