I don't think my mind is geared towards more than 3 strings. I've tried 6, but I think I'm too old to learn. Maybe if I start with 3, I can eventually add another 3.

I like Blues, and 3-strings make some awesome sounds.

I like blues myself, but I prefer to play odd folk music and strange old tunes. I didn't try to play a guitar until I was 55. I find since my fingers are a little arthritic, I need all six strings to make a decent noise overall.
