When I joined I didn't think it was necessary to introduce myself since I already know many of you already. But since then it's clear I don't know more of you, I thought the only polite thing to do would be to introduce myself a little more formally!
Hi, I'm Mai - I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains in a 1 1/2 bedroom rickety shack that could buy me a 5 bedroom, all amenities home anywhere else in the US., but it's worth it to live in a little corner of paradise, which I share with a husband and four furry children, two cats and two mutts.
Here's more about me if you're interested: My Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/mai.daohorton)
I look forward to making some new friends!
For you:

Welcome again!
I'd love a rickety shack in the Santa Cruz mountains. I live in the SF east bay burbs, so get to visit them (the mountains, not rickety shacks necessarily) when the fancy strikes and other commitments permit.

I had no idea you were that close by. If you're ever in the area, know you are welcome to visit my rickety shack anytime. :D

Are you familiar with Camp Lindblad? I spent several summer weeks (spread over about 5 years I think) camping there when my kids were young scouts.

Such nice and friendly replies! Thank you all.
Oblivion, I'm sure I've hiked around the area you are referring to, but I don't remember any camp by that name exactly, there's a lot of sweet spots up there.
Elouise, only a reflection of you, babe.
(I have to get used to your new name over here)
