I managed to change the title, but my thread still shows up (on the topic display, not in the thread itself) as the original.

You should totally check it out.

I fixed it. There's a short window where the OPer can change the title of the thread by changing the title of the post. It's a weird vbulletin distinction.

I can increase that window. I think it's set to the vbulletin default of 2 minutes or something, which works if you notice right away, but meh.

I've changed the time limit to 60 minutes.
