You could also make and submit your own …I have made a few headers out of images I had. Have a whack at choosing some. Remember to check which theme you are voting for.

It's not too soon to apply it, though I think we should consider making it smaller for now (until I either figure the portal problem out or from the style developer I contacted hands me the answer on a silver platter). maybe 1200px wide, so that it's not a problem for the portal page.

I don't think she means it from a design perspective, but I could be wrong. I think she means that the images themselves without the words don't suggest "MindRomp".

Well, liquid metal font doesn't suggest a mind romp to me either.

I'm not sure what image you could use to mimic a playful active mental state, which is what mind romp suggests. A dancing brain? Bit unsavoury, visually.

One of my favorite images is the staplers. It captures the sense of playfulness that I associate with "MindRomp"

Also, I can't get past my own mental connection with Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, and the Wild Rompus. That's where "Rompus Room" came from, and most of the goofy subforum titles, as well.

Nothing particularly design training-y about it. Like raven said, there's nothing about any of the images that says "mind romp." Some of them are quite aesthetically pleasing but they're not IMO particularly memorable; seeing one of the images sans text elsewhere wouldn't make me think "oh, yeah, mindromp," I'd think, "Hey, where have I seen those chess pieces before? They look vaguely familiar"

To me, most of all of those chess says 'mind romp', but I see what you mean. Can you draw or photo something that says mindromp without words? Please have a go...I am trying, but only have one mind on me...
