I mostly don't like fast food burger joints, and go for pita sandwiches and such. But, my absolute favorite fast food is In-n-Out Burgers. All fresh ingredients, very limited menu (burgers, fries, sodas and shakes), each done to perfection. The shakes (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry) are hand dipped and hand mixed when place your order.

Whataburger burgers...what I love at Wendy's is their Chili Sauce. I hate to admit that I love Chick Fil A but their chicken is amazing.

I had forgotten how good Whataburger is until earlier this month. I was on vacation in Florida and the chain is pretty popular there. It's unheard of in California.

Indian food! I go here (http://vedatakeout.com/) a few times a week, usually getting a small curry bowl (http://vedatakeout.com/index.php?cmd=menu_currybowls) consisting of the vegetable basmati rice and the chickpeas and spicy lentils! It costs exactly $5 and is really delicious.

Jack in the Crack has a taco that is so bad, it's good. It's like the B-Movie of tacos.
My fave tacos are from a "taco truck" in my neighborhood. $1.50 per.
I used to like Kentucky Fried Chicken breasts, but they're suspiciously juicy.

Pho. Vietnamese noodles, usually with beef or chicken. There's about a bazillion pho joints in the Seattle area, and most of them are pretty good. Technically they're not really fast food places, but you can dash in, get a bowl to go, and dash out.

Good secret sauce too.
Have you ever looked under the cup at In & Out Burger?

Krispy Krack lemon filled donuts are a favorite fast food of mine. (hehe Mr. Mellow).
The fries at Macdonalds are good - otherwise I don't do much fast food that involves meat of any kind.

Doesn't bother me a bit. People or businesses can wear whatever they want on their sleeves so long as they don't discriminate against me for being an Atheist. I don't think it's the best business decision though, since some Atheists will be bothered and might not patronize you because of it.

do you think a greater number of (touchy?) atheists would pass because of the bible verses, or a greater number of (bible-waving?) christians would patronize the chain?

Many atheists probably like the passages on an ironic level  so it's probably a wash.

was it always on the bottom of the cup? I have this vague memory of verses either on the sides of cups or maybe on the sides of the bags.

I had to Wiki-Snopes it. Apparently they've always been discreetly printed on the bottom of the cup or in the seams of the paper pouches.

Brenjiken reminded me of a Pacific NorthWest chain called Macheezmo Mouse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Zti4pVbVJrU) which I google to my horror finally went bust a decade back. A veggie mexican kinda place with all fresh stuff and lashings of black beans and something people went nuts for called 'Boss sauce'. I'm not vego but loved their stuff anyway. Or at least I think I did. The gf was vego which was why we started going and I certainly did love being with her, so it's entirely possible I'm just conflating the gastronomic with the romantic :awwgee:
