If I get these jobs in Boston that I'm interviewing for next week, I'll only be a 3.5 hour drive away from Otter Creek Brewery, whose Black IPA is far and away my favorite beer.

So my delicious grass fed beef burger had a runny egg, bacon, red onion, spicy beer mustard and jalapeños on a bun also made in house. The place makes everything from scratch except the sodas and catsup which use real sugar instead of corn syrup. Apparently they've also obtained B Corporation status. Washed it down with three pints of their pale ale (they were out of the IPA :ashamed:) and one pint of golden ale. Friends enjoyed the youngen horny barley wine but I prefer their olden horny barley wine which is aged in cognac barrels. Then I got hungry again and had a bowl of their chili

I really, really want to visit the North Coast Brewing Company this spring. Mostly for the Old Rasputin and Brother Thelonius, but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at their IPA.

Their site has some amazing beer/food pairing recommendations:

http://www.northcoastbrewing.com/pairings.htm

I wanna be there now.

If Rasputin tastes as good as it looks, then it's delicious. Got a taste for real ale the past few days, must be the weather.

I, too, like to enjoy my beverages at a temperature where I can't taste the awful garbage of poorly made beer.

My IPAs, however, remain room-temperature. Mostly because I forget to put them in the fridge to chill before I drink them.

In the olden days most ale was manufactured, distributed and sold by women.

yes, our topdeck bus picked up slabs of belgioum beer before heading into germany.

No channel tunnel then, London, cross channel ferry, one stop in belgium for beer, on to germany, no stops in germany, into swiss alps for two nights.
The belgium beer was good, very good, can't remember the name sorry.
