Shot my first round of Chinese Trap this morning out at the gun range with my Mom's boyfriend! It was a fucking blast!!!!:happydance:

What's 'Chinese' trap I've only shot 'sporting' clays ..I only missed a couple ('rabbits' you aim a LOT lower than you think ) ,they asked me if I would sign up for the clubs competition squad .

It varies from club to club, but traditionally you shoot from each trap/skeet position at the clay pigeons...you also pair up at the final position to one up the person next to you.

I still don't get it.

I understand how regular trap is shot, 5 shots from each of the 5 positions for a total of 25 shots (full box of shells).

How is Chinese trap different from this?? Do they use a 13 gage??

No.

Everyone has a gun, but only one is loaded.

Just before the clay is launched, the guns get passed around.

On "Pull", they all aim and pull their triggers, but only one actually shoots.

I thought some racing around a vehicle or something might be involved also.

No.

I would never go to the gun club that sanctioned such an event.
