sorry if I am teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, however...
Any concrete, fake stone, or clay containers that you have your plants potted in need to be sealed right.
Otherwise they are porous and soaking up a lot more of the water than the plants are getting.
Maybe more of a concern in Australian weather I guess.

It's several years since we had a heatwave that got up to 30/31. For a day or two.

I forgot to mention there's a strong breeze outside. Nice bit of air-circulation to make sure it doesn't get too stuffy in the house.

It does, but I'd have to faff around getting the recliner out of the shed, and setting the patio umbrella up. Effort.

Req, the big splops of rain we had here fell from a clear sky, i was looking up for a rainbow and there were only a few wisps of clouds up there. The rain also left behind the thickest layer of sahara dust i have seen for years, did any of that reach your shire?

Oh yeah, weird you brought that up. Walking back from Tesco earlier I thought to myself "wow, Hamitan* in England."
*the word I learned, by ear so I think the spelling is wrong because google doesn't insta-find, in Nigeria for the orange wind that blows down from the Sahara and leaves you with grit in your mouth in minutes.

NO.
Not while your dick is hanging out of it.
Remove dick first,
THEN
close window.
Also, if you want to make a good impression on any woman, man or thing that comes into your room, clean spunk off windows after you masterbated with them closed.
