yep.

I've just always liked the idea of a more matched set color-wise as the first page of smilies. but these 8 smilies are pretty much an institution.

I'm not keen on the smilies at FF. I'm also not keen on the way ratz go with a 'flavour of the moment' smiley that quite often isn't an actual smiley and sits atop the smiley choice list, only to disappear at some indeterminate time later.

So yeah, a smiley czar is a good idea. I just realised it can't be me... I'm not doing admin stuff :p

I'm expecting someone else will volunteer to cover that job, but I will step up to do that if needs be (would prefer to be the plain vanilla member of us founding group, though.)

Ok, you have admin powers now. You'll see a new link at the very bottom of every page that says "Admin". That will take you to the admin panel. On the left hand side of the admin panel is a menu. One of the menu items is "smilies". Click that to see your options. To upload smilies from your computer, use the "upload". Option. to add smilies that are already on the server, use the "add smilies" option.

All of the smilies that are in this thread are on our server already - either in the TR smilie folder or the RnR smilie folder, so no bandwidth is stolen if you just use that smilie link.

As far as the order number, I usually group smiies - a bunch of 2s, a bunch of 3s, a bunch of 4s, in the groupings I like. You can also add smilie categories. I use categories to divide small and large smilies up a little. Also vanity smilies.

It's how I have it set up. we can lock them down, but I'd rather not. It's a way to show creativity and personality.
