Interesting...it's not as if the subject is verboten. Perhaps we've just a little bit of coital fatigue?

In a rule-bound environment, sex is a way of being naughty, and collectively in hierarchical human packs sexual banter bonds a troupe by morphing to sexualised abuse when a threat is perceived. Once liberated from rules, the naughtiness rationale disappears and the bonding becomes unnecessary, as threats are dissipated by the flexibility of the body politic rather than feared by a rigid but fragile structure. I do hope this is turning you all on.

Forbidden fruit not forbidden anymore...
This is the forum set up and populated by the dregs of other forums. We are the cream of the crap of rabblerousers and misfits discarded as refuse in a sea of atheist-related forums, which are themselves an expression of misfit culture.
Many of us got here because we sought or demanded the ultimate in free expression. I still remember all the pushing Charlou and I did at RD just to allow posting of some pics that would be considered prudish by today's standards. Now that we have all the freedom we wanted and it's not so much fun anymore.
I did think that the special section at Ratz where members posted pics of themselves naked and having sex of various forms, sometimes with other members, was an amazing experiment given the range of intimacies (from none to complex) that existed at that forum before I left. I was amazed that it succeeded for so long without incident. I don't know the story of what lead to the strife at Ratz and I don't need to be told. But I am curious whether that section ever had problems. Are we going to have a section like that here?
Truth be told, I have never felt like a prude myself until I went to that section. I could never see myself posting some of that stuff and as a result it made me feel somewhat hypocritical and almost cynically voyeuristic. That's my problem, not yours, so don't assume I'm against it. But honestly, I still don't know how I feel about it. All I know is that I never experienced a situation like that before. It was certainly fascinating and definitely the thing I remember most about Ratz.

Once upon a time I owned a huge stack of Crumb, FFFBs, Harold Head (pretty hilarious Canadian comic of the era), Vaughn Bode, Witzend, bunch of others. And of course a couple Whole Earth Catalogues and a couple copies of that glossy sellout, High Times. :)

"13th Generation"
In the 1991 book Generations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generations_%28book%29), William Strauss and Neil Howe call this generation the "13th Generation" and define the birth years as 1961 to 1981. 1970, the approximate mid-point of the "13th Generation", had the lowest birth rate of this period.
According to the authors, Generation X is "the 13th generation" to be familiar with the flag of the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) (counting back to the peers of Benjamin Franklin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Franklin)).[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_X#cite_note-r5-2) The label was also chosen because, according to their generational theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strauss-Howe_generational_theory), it is considered a "Reactive" or "Nomad" generation, composed of those who were children during a spiritual awakening (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strauss-Howe_generational_theory#Awakenings_and_crises).
Older generations generally have negative perceptions of Reactive generations—whose members tend to be pragmatic and perceptive, savvy but amoral, more focused on money than on art[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_X#cite_note-r10-18)—and the use of 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/13_%28Number%29#Unlucky_13) is also intended to associate this perception with the negative connotations of that number.
The authors highlight this negative perception by noting the popularity of "devil-child" movies, wherein children are portrayed as malevolent protagonists (e.g. Rosemary's Baby (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosemary%27s_Baby_%28film%29)[20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_X#cite_note-r11-19)), released soon after the generation's first members were born.
